Yes you guessed it! Assessment piece after assessment piece.
Thankfully I have a wonderful date looming, that date is November 1st. Glorious, magnificent November 1st. The day that all my assessment is due in by and the day I can go out and get absolutely and magnificently hammered. Not something I normally indulge in being somewhat of a conservative but this year come the time my last piece of assessment is sent off and my outbox is clear I'm off to party town.
Something else I'm pleased to say I've been doing lately is working on a guest piece for a friends blog. She runs this blog as part of her business and has asked me if I can write a piece on my favorite author. So naturally being the kind hearted, nice person I am I said yes. For those that know me I know that is a largely overstated exaggeration, I'm not really that nice I just am not very good at saying no when people ask me favors.
Anyway I've agreed to do the blog, have actually written it and am eagerly awaiting feedback, something I blame the education system on. Why do we have this constant need for positive feedback and constructive criticism? Can't we just punch it out and then take whatever may come? Who knows? Certainly not I.
With luck it's going to be published tomorrow. Woo! I'll post the link here once it's up.
Anyway I need to finish a lesson plan for Saturday's class. I'm teaching my learners how to take cuttings of plants, it's not the most exciting thing to teach people, it is however cheap and easy. So in the grand tradition of being a university student I shall follow the rule of it doesn't cost a lot it's good. I'm sure my teacher will like my lesson after all everyone will have a nice new little plant to take home and the end of the day and who can complain about that? Not sure but just in case I have chocolatey type bribes to make sure no one rains on my parade.

I'm going to give a quick rundown on my year in as few a words as possible and then try and make regular posts. I've been busy this year doing a whole bunch of things including crashing my car and moving to a new town. I've gone back to university to train up as a teacher (primary). I was involved in running Nullus Anxietas II which was a blast. My Pop died this year. And that's the main highlights of my year.
Oh year and I turned 25, I hit the quarter of a century and the world did not end. Yay for the world.

Lucy managed to get a poster signed by him afterwards, unfortunately he was in a hurry to escape so I also managed a hurried photo on my (crappy) phone, but no really good photos.
We also had nice food and the train ride back was nice and quite.
Everyone should go watch Dexter now. (unless you are under 18 or are squeamish with blood and stuff)

Now I have found out that one of my favorite authors Robert Jordan (Jim Rigney) passed away on Sunday. Such a great author and man, it seems a tragedy that such men do not live to see their dreams come to fruit.
I have also just found out that my brother and his fiance of three years have split up unexpectedly... I now have a crushed brother who needs a bit of consoling. So I now say to the world in general enough no more bad news just now please!
